What a wonderful day! We launched the Classic Worship format this morning at 8:45. We just put together the temporary altar last night. When we saw everything this morning with the projected stained glass, the processional candles and cross, the beautiful white paraments, it was beautiful……but then the welcome team gathered around the crystal bowl that was filled with water for the baptism, that made the beauty complete. What a powerful symbol of God making the 1st step. If you want to hear the message today of “Relationship Rescue” you can check out our podcast HERE.
We still have wires and cables hanging down the wall but our backdrop will arrive this week. The worship center will be transformed this week. The stages will get grey carpeting on them. The banners will be hung.
Please pray for us as we countdown the last week to the Launch….the Grand Opening next Sunday.
Pray especially for those people who have been invited. Pray for those who will receive a postcard this week and will stop and think about going to church. Pray for opportunities this Tuesday at the Farmer’s Market.
Pray for all the things that we don’t even know about yet. Pray for strength and health for Pastor Schmidt and the mission launch team and all the wonderful Concordia volunteers … and NEW volunteers ….. who help us make Concordia a welcoming place to connect with God.
Thank you for praying for this launch. Pray double this week….pray for TWO minutes rather than ONE! If you feel led to help give to this mission launch… you can give HERE. If you want to see what needs have yet to be met….. click HERE.
Finally, we want to share the new video that was placed on the website today. We couldn’t figure out how to run it in the service this morning but it is already ONLINE! We thank Jeff Horvath of The Horvath Group for donating his time and talent (and fancy professional HD video equipment) and Matt Carroll for editing the video. Enjoy. Leave us a comment and tell us what you think!
